So the most anticipated monologue was last night with Jimmy Kimmel.

He started by thanking supporters.

He even thanked Ted Cruz, who is Republican.

He's a conservative, but he thanked him because he was all about free speech.

And I think I said yesterday there was a letter that was written to ABC from A-List actors know, you need to give Jimmy Kimmel freedom of speech.

And it included Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman.

He has freedom of speech, people.

I don't want to keep going over this, you ignorant Hollywood people.

Anyway, Kimmel, he went on to set the record straight by addressing the elephant in the room and getting emotional too.

You understand that it was never my intention to make light of the murder of a young man.

I posted a message on Instagram on the day he was killed, sending love to his family and asking for compassion.

And I meant it. I still do.
