Welcome to the Wally Show Aftercast, all the stuff we did not get to during the course of the show today.

I have to go home today, but I don't want to because I know what I'm walking back into.

Yesterday was such a day of rage for me at my house, and it was not at my wife, although she was the one that had to be the bearer of bad news

when she was like,

hey,

we need to change all the batteries and our smoke detectors,

they're chirping.

I don't like doing it.

I have to get out two different ladders.

I have to take them upstairs.

You're that short?

Yeah, no, my roofs are that tall.

Oh, oh, oh.

So there's a couple I can't get to, like, in my garage or our bedroom has like this tray ceiling, so I got to get a different ladder for that. And so I'm like, okay, fine. I have a great attitude about it. Like, let's get this knocked out. Yeah. So I have to go first go buy batteries. And you only buy, they come in a packet of eight, and I have nine smoke detectors. So right there.

It's like hot dogs and hot dog buzz.

You have seven extra just laying around now? Yeah. So right out of the gate, I'm like, ah. But I'm okay. I'm going to deal with it. So far so good. Yeah, we're fine. His anger might have gone up one notch. Yeah, half a tick. Okay. And so I get home, like start doing it and pull out the first one, second one, third one, fourth one.

They're still beeping. Okay. I get all the way up to nine. So I'm like waiting for when I hit the last one and pull it out. Yep. And put the new battery in for it to get quiet. And it does for about 12 seconds. And you're like, oh, good.

Then, beep!

Are you kidding me?

No!

No, no, no.

Why are you all beeping?
