If we were ever to see a catastrophic time on this earth, would we be left to wonder?

Will he keep his promises?

Will he do what he said he was going to do?

Has he gotten so frustrated with the whole thing that it's like, you know what, forget it.

I want you to do something with me.

I want you to turn to Galatians chapter 3. Galatians, so you're in Revelation,

don't lose it because that's our text for this evening, but I want you to go back much earlier in your New Testament, find Galatians, sit on three for just a second, and then what I'm going to do,

I'm going to go to Genesis chapter 12,

two and three. Because I pray that one of the things that God does this evening with us,

I'm always and forever hoping that somebody among us is brand new to Bible study,

and somebody's just really never gotten a taste of it and something

happens that they just go something clicks and they go I want to study this for the rest of my life

because in Christ a Colossian says are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

I've said so many times I love the fact that when God described the

promised land through Moses to the people, when he described what it would be like, he said,

and there will be copper to dig out of the hills. And I just love the thought of it because I don't

want my copper laying up on top of the grass. I love digging for stuff

in the scriptures. I love the process of studying. I love discovery. I love going back and forth until

something clicks and you think you have got to be kidding. This is so gorgeous. I cannot bear it.

Just a pure beauty of it. I want you to leave tonight with confidence

that the word is so beautifully and perfectly put together. Because what he's doing, what you're

seeing a glimpse of in Revelation chapter 7 is what he promised from the very beginning and it's a promise
