| 0:00.0 | Hey, me, you group. Just the holes everywhere. They had the holes on. I screamed out, melted out there. They just spread it. We just got new outdoor lights. Oh, and I just cleaned those last night. And they had the holes and we're spraying it everywhere. And I was like, I just cleaned all those. And they were soaking wet. And I go, guys, I have somebody coming over in 30 minutes. Do not spray her. Make sure the hose is turned off. And then he's so, he came in and goes, do you have any flower? And I was like, for what? And he's like, I'm going to make slime. I'm like, for sure, that's dough. And no, I'm not giving you a pound of flour. Hey guys, episode 180. This is our part two with Trista. We got, we didn't even scratch the surface because we're getting sidetracked. Ryan hasn't even entered the story yet. I know. And he's at home. I should have asked if I should have brought it up. Okay. I've seen them in the neighborhood like five times. Oh yeah. The trails on his bike and then then I felt so bad this summer my boys went to the swi- |
| 1:06.2 | You know the adult swim lane. Yeah, so Ryan's trying to swim laps and Lawson and late and are up there and he's like trying to swim and I'm like get out But I knew right I was a key's not gonna remember him because he told me about some time where there were kids that would they that were like coming up to him trying to talk to him and like hang out. |
| 1:25.6 | And he's like they were so cute. |
| 1:27.4 | I don't know. |
| 1:28.2 | I don't know. |
| 1:29.0 | Because it was a group of their friends. about some time where there were kids that would they that were like coming up to him trying to talk to him and like hang out maybe he's like they were so cute |
| 1:26.8 | Oh, it had it been because it was a group of their friends and they're up at the pool and I was like oh my god And I was gonna text you and be like hey text Ryan and say I'm sorry No, he does not care key. I felt bad. Yeah, he was just like working out and then I saw your son I don't know how many times but then that's right. I was like he doesn't know me. I was gonna be like |
| 1:43.8 | I know your mom, but |
| 1:46.3 | I don't go to the hot tub. Yeah, and he's probably over it. He's probably like don't yeah, you guys are pretty private though, right? You guys pretty pretty much I did do um you know dancing with the stars and I did special forces so I want to ask you about that. We had like eight this This might be a five part. I don't know. I know. |
| 2:05.0 | You've done everything. |
| 2:07.6 | So in that regard, not no, but in Ryan's done like American Ninja Warrior and |
| 2:16.8 | I gosh, I'm missing. |
| 2:17.6 | Oh, and your factor. |
| 2:20.0 | So like we've done little like things like that. |
| 2:23.3 | But for the most part, yes, it's not like we're, you know, we're publicizing our entire life. I mean, we both have Instagram accounts. Yeah. We do recognize when you go out like the dinner in the neighborhood. You know, it's funny because we lived in Vail for 20 years. There people were over it. Right. And it's a very small town. Okay. Here I do get recognized pretty frequently. Yeah, especially when you two are together, then it clicks. That's the same with us. I'm sure. Yeah, they put it together. Yes, for sure. I feel like just big city whenever we travel, I'm sure you guys do the same way. Yeah. But let's go back to the season. When did you know Ryan was like, this is the guy I want. Was it early in the season mid late? So the first night he definitely was one of my top guys. Top four for sure. He read me a poem. Tied on those little heartstrings or tugged on those little heart strings. And then obviously he's good looking. He's an athlete, I love athletes. He played in the NFL, fire fighter. Yeah, I didn't know what you did for the play for. I played for the Panther. Why, I do remember that. Only reason I know this, because you're so... Yeah, I do remember you said that now. I do remember that's awesome. So like that, I was like, okay, that's totally my type, athlete, you know, firefighter, hello. So he was on my radar from the first night, for sure. Because of what happened to me on the bachelor and how he told me that he was going to choose me and then he didn't, I guarded my heart a little bit more because I didn't want that to, I didn't want something that I've found out like right before to change my mind and I didn't wanna leave these guys on. So I was really open-minded in the beginning and I was like, you know, that guy's cute, that guy's cute, whatever. For whatever reasons, I liked, you know, a few more were at the top of my list. But then, you know, season progresses, and the more I got to talk to him, the more I just realized how like genuine and humble and authentic, like he's he really truly is a hero, he has a good heart, he's actually really intelligent and really funny and like all these things. And there for the right reasons. Yeah And they're for the right reasons. He is so introverted and never would have done the show had he not been nominated by a friend. I was just about to ask you how he's. Yes. Okay. So he went to college at CU. And he lived in an apartment with a bunch of guys. And one of the guys, girlfriends, who ended up marrying her, they're now married, she was on a show called The Mole, back in the day. Yeah. The producer from The Mole was our producer, the exec producer for The Mole was the exec producer for The Bachelorette. And he reached out to Heather, our friend, and said, do you know any guys that we can have come on this first season of the Bachelor at? And she nominated all the guys who lived in the apartment together at CEO. And so they interviewed a bunch of them and ended up choosing Ryan. And one of his toxic traits is he can't say no. Like if he's walking by a homeless person and they ask for, you know, food or money, of course, he's going to be the one who's giving him whatever. That's just one of the like little tiny examples, but yes, if he can say no to me a lot, but when he comes to other people, no, he has a hard time saying no. So he could not say no to the producers and ended up going really far. |
| 6:05.8 | And at that point, he was out of football. He was working as a fireman in in Vale. And I think he just thought, OK, well, what's up? Yeah. So that's how he got into it. And then going on back to the original question, I think just I got to know him more and more. It was in Seattle actually, that I was like, |
| 6:25.6 | I think he's the one. |
| 6:27.7 | He just, he made me him, you know, more and more. It was in Seattle actually that I was like, I think he's the one. It just he made me laugh. He made me feel safe. He made me feel seen, you know, and and loved. He actually wrote me a letter that he gave to one it. No, I think he gave it to me at the end of our date, not to a producer. He |
| 6:46.2 | like slitted in my pocket or whatever and is like read this alone. I went into the bathroom of |
| 6:51.0 | my hotel and bail. It was like his hometown date. I went into the bathroom because I thought at |
| 6:56.4 | the time that there were cameras in the hotel rooms like I'm like, oh, so I went into the bathroom |
| 7:02.6 | and read the letter and he confessed his love. He sounds like a fake person. Jesus. Yeah, we're my poems. Yeah, I feel like an asshole. You are. Wow, I'm slacking. Don't bring that guy around here. I'm not just kidding. I know. No, he's a great guy. And then, okay, so this was one other thing I wanted to ask you, the fantasy suite. Yep. So when you're in there, yep. Do you have to have sex? They have no. Are there cameras in there? Yeah, nope. They tell you like for sure. So the cameras are with the camera men. Okay. So when they're recording you, there are people holding a camera. Oh, they're not. Are they set up now, though? They got to have cameras like in the house. Not in the fantasy suite. There's no camera. Oh, gotcha. Okay. So yes, in the house, every other time, there are cameras in the places that you are. Right. Unless you're at a restaurant or something, but there's just guys with handhelds. So our fantasy suite, actually, it was a funny story. |
