We start out in life as children.

We cannot drive or dress ourselves or talk sensibly about politics, and generally we're forgiven. If we're

lucky we live long and happy lives. And then things change again.

And again, perhaps, we cannot drive.

It's harder to dress ourselves.

And maybe we've lost interest in politics.

For some reason, many reasons. Maybe we've lost interest in politics.

For some reason, many reasons, these changes at the end of life are harder to accept.

This hour is for everyone who is getting older, a show in two parts. Part one is a story I made in 2008 about one family's experience living with an elderly mother who has dementia.
