0:40.0	This week we update a story that we've been covering on Full Measure, the huge sexual abuse lawsuit,
0:46.6	the class action suit by upwards of 95,000 people against the Boy Scouts of America.
0:52.7	There's been a major new development in a story that we've been reporting on on Full Measure,
1:01.9	and that is the sexual abuse lawsuit, the claims against the Boy Scouts of America,
1:07.3	by upwards of 95,000 people. Most of them grown men, who alleged that when they were children,
1:14.9	they were sexually abused by male Boy Scout leaders and volunteers. A very, very sad story with
1:22.1	shades of the scandal involving the Catholic Church, where also over a period of many decades,
1:29.1	gay priests were accused of molesting young boys in the Catholic Church, was accused of covering it up.
1:35.6	Likewise, as we'll discuss in just a moment, victims claim that the Boy Scouts of America as an
1:41.1	organization was part of a cover-up in the institutional abuse that was taking place within the Boy Scouts.
1:48.7	Well, the new news about the Boy Scouts case is that the organization has reached a settlement,
1:55.2	worth about $850 million with more than 60,000 men, who claimed that as boys they were abused
2:03.2	by men within the Boy Scouts organization. This case or this group of cases is said to be
2:09.8	actually much larger than the ones filed against the Catholic Church, and ones such as groups of
2:16.1	claims filed over alleged abuse of young women involved in USA Olympic gymnastics. As it so
