Some of you may know that like many cities Denver Colorado is suffering a huge violent crime wave. I visited Denver a couple of years ago to look at a

program that the police force was implementing

in conjunction with the rest of the city to use social workers instead of police to respond to some 911

And then I interviewed Denver's police chief Paul Pazon,

who was passionate about the program.

Well, he retired in October of 2023 under pressure after nearly 30 years with a force as

Denver crime was on pace to hit all-time highs. Now Denver's new chief with a big job
