were lowered by the promise of a new green rush.

We are in the middle in America of a major drug, business, and legal experiment.

24 states now and Washington, D.C., have legalized recreational marijuana.

Even more states, 39 of them altogether plus D.C., allow medical use.

Pot has been legal for recreational use in Oregon, longer than most any place else. And the story of how it's working out about 10 years in is complicated and depends on who's telling it.
