Hi everybody Cheryl Ackison here with another episode of Full Measure After Hours. Today we're going to tackle the topic of government

surveillance abuses which is not just a 2016 phenomenon this has been going

on for quite some time.

Joining me is David Bernkov

and the reason I asked David to join us again not only is because he's so popular as an investigative producer.

I get so many emails.

I know you do.

But also because he produced a story with me for full measure about government surveillance abuses.

And as we're recording this, which is Friday, January 10th,

I don't see it reported anywhere else but I made a note that this was the

deadline that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Court, the FISA Court gave the

FBI to present them with fixes for the abuses that were identified

by the Inspector General recently. The abuses were, among other things,

providing inaccurate information in a wire tap application for Carter Page, a Trump

campaign volunteer, preventing, presenting information that was out of context and

presenting false information that had been doctored by an FBI lawyer.

So I guess we're not necessarily going to see this grand plan that the FBI has to submit,

but it was originally due today.
