After Hours and today I'm very excited because we're going to talk to

you about the examination of a US border, a southern border that you probably haven't

given much thought to and like our southern border with Mexico,

it is the target of non-stop efforts by drug traffickers

and human smugglers and possibly even terrorists.

But this US border is in the Caribbean.

And with me is the Incredible Daniel Steinberger, producer extraordinaire.

Yes, who also joined me on our trip to Puerto Rico, which is where this U.S.

Southern border is in the Caribbean. really I've been to the border numerous times over the years to cover border issues.

Had you, you've been there with me once, had you been there before?

No, I hadn't.

So of all these times, you know, I'm hyper-focused on the drugs and illegal immigration and issues, but I had never really thought about the Puerto Rican border, Puerto Rico being a U.S. territory, but an acquaintance of mine who had worked in this arena said, why

don't you go down there?

You'll be amazed at what's going on.

And it was really eye-opening, wasn't it?

Yeah, it really was. And obviously it being a territory our US

customs and border protection have a presence there and are the you know they're

protecting the US borderS. border.
