We're also going to look forward to the films of 2026, make some predictions, share some thoughts. So it's going to be a lot of fun. Thank you for joining us. I'm David Chen again here with Divinger Hardwar and Jeff Kanata. So, guys, we just recorded our top 10 episodes of 2025. But let's take some time to talk about all the movies that didn't make our list. We have some honorable mentions. Okay. So let's take turns. Jeff Kanata, let's start with you. Let's go with you. Like, what are, you said you had 17 movies that you whittled down to 10. That's right. |
| 0:55.2 | Two of them I mentioned in the context of our top tens because I had BlackBag and |
| 1:00.2 | companion both vying for places on my list. |
| 1:04.9 | So we can dispense with those because those were on Dave's list. |
| 1:08.5 | I think BlackBag was also on DaVinders list. |
| 1:10.6 | But both of those, |
| 1:12.4 | I almost, you know what, when you're like, a movie almost makes your list and then one of the other hosts says it on theirs, you're like, oh, it hurts my heart because I also felt that, but it just didn't quite make it. Anyway. Really? It hurts your heart? Because for me, I'd be like, oh, I'm relieved that it got highlighted somehow in the episode. |
| 1:30.4 | No, I, I, relieved that it got highlighted somehow in the episode. No, I was long for those like, yay, we both feel the same way about a thing. Maybe that's just the difference between you and me, Dave. No, well, Jeff, I feel that too, okay? I feel both things. They're both good both good all right so companion and black bag like |
| 1:46.5 | jeff love those movies but they barely miss the top ten okay what else jeff what's okay so one one i think |
| 1:51.1 | i think push comes to shove my number 11 would have been train dreams nice Nice. Nobody else mentioned. |
| 2:01.6 | Nobody mentioned in the show, but is a movie that really affected me. |
| 2:06.1 | Honestly, if it was 16.9, it would have been my top 10, which is a stupid thing to say I recognize. |
| 2:13.8 | You mean if the aspect ratio of the film was different? |
| 2:17.0 | Wow. |
| 2:18.3 | Yeah. No boxy films. |
| 2:19.3 | Wow. |
| 2:20.3 | I really hate it because I watched it on my projector and it was so beautiful. |
| 2:23.3 | No wonder why you didn't like die my love, Jeff. |
| 2:25.3 | All right. |
| 2:26.3 | Yeah, that's the reason I didn't like die my love. |
| 2:29.3 | But no, Train Dreams is so gorgeous and so poignant. |
| 2:35.3 | And just it feels like a movie about time itself, |
