This was going to be our Big 12 win totals episode,

but we woke up here on the West Coast on Monday morning to news involving one of the big 12 schools,

that being Texas Tech and Brendan Soresby.

A judge in Lubbock County has decreed that Brendan Sorsby, who bet on his own team, many times,

is eligible to play college football this season.

Guys, we've talked about this story so many times on here, and I'll be honest, the last couple times, I kind of started to tune out because it was like, he's never going to play college football. Like, why are we going through all this? He's never going to play. Apparently, Ralph, our friend, the judge in Lubbock, says, yes, absolutely he's going to play. Is this definitely going to happen?

Is he definitely going to play?

Is there going to be an appeal?

How does this work?

The NCAA can appeal from texting around.

First of all, these injunctions tend not to get overturned.

It's not without precedent that something would get overturned, but generally

speaking, what a lawyer will tell you is often these things are tough to get overturned.

And in this case, in getting texting around with some folks who have some involvement in this,

they did not sound particularly optimistic. It was sort of like,

we'll do whatever we can, but I like, you know, we're basically going back into Texas courts.

Like the court that ruled for him, like if you go back to the same judge and say, could you

reconsider? Like it doesn't seem likely

so i think that there will be an appeal uh there's also things some there's some things here

set up that are would create a difficult timetable so if it was appealed and started to be played
