0:14.1

ahead of us today um but first before we dive into that just wanted to kind of talk about what has

happened in the past week.

0:21.4

Well, we have a really interesting show because the last week has been really interesting.

And our interview this week with Robin Simcock was excellent, all about terrorism.

But first, this past week, the news is reporting that Obamacare repeal is dead. I'm here to say that's not true.

0:40.7

They did have a major setback, a major failure in the Senate on Thursday night. But it's our hope and expectation that the Senate will go back to working on Obamacare repeal.

0:50.9

We can get into that in just a minute, but let's just recap what happened on the

2:01.8

war on, it became clear that there weren't 51 votes to pass the BCRA at the moment. So what

2:08.8

they did was they tried Skinny Repeal. Now, Skinny Repeal wasn't actually meant as a bill that

2:15.2

would be enacted into law. In fact, the policies, if that bill were enacted on its own, the policies may have some troubling problematic results.

2:25.0

It was meant as a collection of things that everybody agreed on that then the Senate could use to go to conference.
