Welcome to the necessary conversation midweek edition. Today, it's just me and my mom, fresh off of our first in-person episode this past weekend, mom, what are your thoughts on that in-person episode?

It wasn't bad. It was a pretty good episode. It was just different to have you that close. I mean, that was good that you guys came and I enjoyed

all our time together, but doing a podcast live is a lot different than doing it the way we're doing

it today. Correct. The thing that I found perhaps the best about it was there were a couple of times

over the course of the weekend where

dad would start talking about politics or you would or something. And all I would have to say is like

save it for the podcast. Yes. And then we didn't that was not a part of us hanging out at all other than

the time we shot the episode. Right. And if we didn't have the podcast, then we would fight over

politics probably right then and there. For the entire weekend, yes. Yes. But it allowed us because

we knew we had the podcast or because we've maybe now become used to talking about these things

only here in this podcast, for the rest of the time, we were going to check out your horse or going to eat or whatever.

We were doing a bunch of different stuff.

You are correct.

All of our fights, all of our big fights are right here on the podcast.

Yeah.

So would you say the podcast has helped us as a family?

I think it has put all of our negative energy toward each other in a box.

I agree.

And that's where it kind of stays.

Yeah, I think so too.

Yeah.
