Today, we confront the core emotional driver behind uncertainty—fear—by intentionally shifting our internal dialogue. Get ready to release the tension of the unknown as we anchor into the powerful truth: "I am safe and secure in the present moment, and I have the power to handle what comes next."
This is day 2 of a 7-day meditation series, "The Uncertainty Detox: Rewiring Your Brain for Fearless Living," episodes 1213-1219.
YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE: The 3-Second Pause Challenge
Before making any non-urgent decision this week (e.g., ordering lunch, responding to an email, selecting a task), pause for exactly three seconds. Place your hand gently on your solar plexus or abdomen and ask: "Does this feel expansive or contractive?" This simple ritual trains you to access your gut's instant feedback loop before the logical mind jumps in..

| 0:43.2 | I know that for myself these days, I am triggered by news. My uncertainty stems from constantly checking what's going on in the world. |
| 1:01.6 | And I want to share this with you because I think it's valuable to take a good look at when your uncertainty started. |
| 1:16.4 | Because with this habit of uncertainty, |
| 1:21.5 | which uncertainty is a habit, |
| 1:25.3 | and it is influenced by your thoughts and your thoughts begin with small actions you take |
| 1:36.3 | that impact you emotionally and that makes you feel a certain way. |
| 1:49.1 | And then that feeling just grows stronger and stronger and stronger. |
| 1:57.1 | And so when you consider uncertainty, think of when it first began. |
| 2:08.3 | So as I mentioned, my constantly checking the news has become an addiction. I know it's directly related to uncertainty I feel in my own life. And when I think about when it started, |
| 2:15.7 | I realize it was when my oldest son went to college. |
| 2:21.7 | And because he's going to college in a state that's clear across the country from where I live |
| 2:28.9 | here in Florida, I started to feel as though I needed to pay more attention to what was going on in the news. |
| 2:37.7 | Because previously, I didn't. |
| 2:41.2 | I took a news fast intentionally. |
| 2:46.3 | Because a lot of the news is very sensationalized. |

| 2:56.2 | reading about these sensationalized events. |
| 3:02.7 | Of course, I pay attention to major events happening in the world. |
