And keep in mind that these are techniques that will help to prevent depression. Because research shows that we all go through depressive episodes in our lives and repeating

an affirmation and doing the other techniques I share with you this week may help you to lessen

the impact of any depression you may experience in your future or that you may be experiencing now.

The affirmation you'll be repeating is called, now is all I need and this is a powerful affirmation because when you are

experiencing depression you're are experiencing depression you're often reflecting on events that happened in the past,

that in the past that cause you to lose hope for your future because you may have experienced a great deal of pain or sadness and you just don't know how your life will change and get better.

You feel out of control like you're in a deep dark hole and you can't

seem to pull yourself out. You also have a lot of fear and anxiety about the future.

And so you can't imagine enduring much more.

And so your mind can get stuck in this cycle of rumination where you run the same negative depressive thoughts

through your mind again not able to break this cycle. And so when you repeat an affirmation, as well as do other meditation techniques, you know, there's not just one thing that can break such a cycle of depression.

It is a combination of different lifestyle patterns and techniques.

That can ease you away from depressive,

ruminating thoughts.

I encourage you to repeat the affirmation in the morning when you wake up

because this is when you're fresh and the cares and worries of the day haven't likely started running through your mind
