Trev is on a little mini vacation, so I am joined today by my guy, Sean Davis, and boy, do we have some fun topics for y'all today.

We were, Sean, going to just come in here today and do like a normal state of the program, breakdown of the defensive tackles. And we are still going to do that. But what you and I wanted to discuss today first was we wanted to react to and comment on the proposal from the AFCA, which is the American Football Coaches Association,

an organization that I used to be a part of and used to attend their meetings.

And an organization that I respect and I like the role they have.

But they've come out and proposed really a four-tiered, you know, changes to college football.

And we wanted to talk about that to begin the show.

And then after we're done with that, we'll dive into our three-point breakdown with state of the program.

We'll talk about, you know, what we saw this spring and some of the things we learned.

And we'll dive into, you know, what we need to see moving forward. And then, of course, we'll wrap things up with some recruiting. And I thought, Sean, and this is the perfect show for you to be on since so much of the recruiting conversation with the defensive attack room is a bunch kids that are right down the street from where you live, or at least in the same city. I shouldn't say right down the street, but in the same city from where you're from, young men that you've had a chance to talk to and get to know. with part one of our show today, which is we want to go into and talk about the proposal from the

AFCA American Football Coach Association. And they had a four-step proposal. There's some things about

this we like, some things that we really don't like like and we don't think they're being honest about

the reasons why and since then some things that like i don't mind this but it has to include this

and here's where they missed the boat so let's let's discuss this so first of all the proposal and

then i'm going to just sum it up this way uh they want to expand the playoffs to 24 teams. That's part of it. That would then include

getting rid of the conference championship games, reducing the open weeks during the season from

two to one, so the bye weeks. They would still carve out a window for Army Navy,
