Hi, this is against everyone with Connor Abeeb, a weekly podcast featuring my conversations with countercultural figures and presenting complex philosophical, spiritual, and political ideas in an engaging and accessible way.

I can't tell you how excited I am to share this episode with you because it touches on the political, the spiritual, the philosophical,

with one of the most important and creative thinkers of our time, radical philosopher Franco

Bifo Berardi. Bifo, as he is known as the author of many books, two of the most important

of which I think are breathing, subtitle, chaos and poetry,

and heroes, which the subtitle is mass murder and suicides. But he has a lot of other books

out there as well, and they're all really great and informative. And one of the things is

Bifo is such an interdisciplinary thinker. And an interdisciplinary activist as well.

He started Radio Alice, which is a pirate radio station in Italy.

He was also deeply involved with the Autonomia movement,

which is an anti-authoritarian activist movement in Italy.

He's a teacher, and he's just a really brilliant synthesizer of so

many currents that are running through the world right now and how he sees it. I was kind of nervous,

honestly, to meet with Bifo because he's been such an important thinker for me.

And one of the reasons why he's an important thinker is because I find in Bifo a very secular

and communist, anarcho-communist version of a lot of the occult Western esoteric ideas that I'm interested in.

Let me just explain that for a second because what I don't mean is, hey, I have these thoughts,

and Bifo has the same thoughts, so I feel validated, or these esoteric ideas validate Bifo's secular version or

his ideas validate the occultist version that I'm interested in or I've thought about.

But rather when you find somebody who has come to similar conclusions as you, through reading completely different authors,

through strutting with completely different people,

and yet you find some kind of resonance in your ideas.
