Hello, friends. This is Against Everyone with Connor Habib.

Our disconnection from each other is like a negative space that power thrives in and with.

A void that threatens to overtake us with its heavy, unfeeling emptiness.

Connection is the remedy.

The connections that we make with each other form

networks of mutual aid, solidarity, safety, love, pleasure, romantic relationship, happy engagement

with the challenges of our time, and more. We're used to hearing about how certain forms

of connection are continually barred,

obscured, or shattered through racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, you know, all the hits.

But there are so many ways in which our difficulty in finding each other amplifies that terrible

power that we find ourselves facing down that are not those big,

obvious, or at least much talked about ones.

From disconnection from world events through the passive spectacle of the internet and social

media, to the alienation we feel when we're forced to make a living, to the very simple reality that

many of us don't know who our neighbors are or how we would talk to them if we needed to.

As 2025 begins, it feels like we're heading into uncharted territory, an unilluminated path

which cannot be navigated, usually the cultural, political, and economic

tools and structures we're used to.

This is the third episode in a series of episodes on how to live in 2025.

Focusing on the thoughts, feelings, and actions, we need to thrive, develop, create, and resist.

On these episodes, I've been exploring what tools can work for us as individuals and at the same time offer to the rest of the
