Hi, this is against everyone with Connor Abeeb. Friends, there's been a small break in this podcast,

as you might have noticed, but I'm back now with a sort of new episode. I say sort of because it's a

crossover episode with another podcast, which is called The Breakup Theory, hosted by Shulie Branson.

You might remember Shulie from episode 228 of this show.

They're the author of Practical Anarchism, A Guide for Daily Life, and also the co-editor of

surviving the future abolitionist queer strategies. On that episode, 228, we talked about how to

see the world through the lens of anarchism.

Obviously, a lot has happened in the world since then and recently, Shulie asked me to be on their

show, The Breakup Theory, which is brand new. And that's one of the reasons why I'm doing this

crossover podcast, because I really wanted to turn people onto that show. It's a very sort of contemporary

feeling and exciting and very deep and multidirectional anarchism podcast. And that is the other

reason why I'm cross-posting this episode because the conversation was so good. We talk about politics and

spirituality and encounters with the challenges of our moment. I really love the conversation. I want to

make sure more people heard it. The episode starts by touching on a kind of deep cut of against everyone with Connor

beep. Episode 9, which I later reposted as episode 132, How to Break Up with the State. That was a

solo episode where I talked about how we're entangled in something like a relationship with

the state that ended a long time ago, but we keep getting

pulled back in to engagement with that relationship for various reasons. And that informs

some of Shulie's thinking and maybe even the name of their podcast. The primary question

of that episode was why do we stay in relationships with states that

obviously don't have our interests in mind?

And that does kick off this episode, but then it goes in lots of places.
