That's really actually just shorthand because what I mean is magic, magic, occultism, fairies, witchcraft, spirituality, mysticism, all that kind of stuff.

We're going to do a few episodes on that here.

And I think it has a really significant

place in the world right now, not just for Ireland. Let me sort of tell you what I mean.

So I moved here in 2019. I had wanted to live here since I was a teenager and finally got up and did it.

And when you notice right away when you move to Ireland, if you're not from Ireland, at least, what you notice is that there's this

incredible tension between different kind of spiritual, philosophical life pathways. You can feel the influence, for instance,

that the Catholic Church has had and that appears at least right now to be waning, although

I've been warned that the Catholic Church thinks in centuries from my friend

Kaelan Hogan, who's been on the show.

But I do think that in this moment that the Catholic Church and its influence is sort of

pulling away a little bit and not quite as popular for sure. But you can still feel

the presence of Catholic ritual and a sort of Catholic kind of, I don't know, reverence,

and definitely Catholic imagery and aesthetics here in Ireland.

And of course that impacts people's spiritual views.

You can also feel the presence of kind of secular humanist, neoliberal tech solution,

just, you know, whatever, that thing that you see in lots of cities in the U.S., especially coastal cities.

And you can feel the presence of something happening there that's trying to tug on people's belief systems, trying to give them a kind of technocratic

feeling for the future without giving any of that meaning, that rich sense of meaning that the
