Hi, this is Against Everyone with Connor Habib, a weekly podcast featuring my conversations with

Well, friends, I was trying to think of the best way to introduce this episode with

John E. Elteni, who is a paranormal investigator. He's been working in the

field for decades. You might know him from ghost stalkers. You might know him from

Hellier or paranormal lockdown. Whatever. He's been doing this for a long time. And I thought, okay, but actually the story really of meeting John

and truly hanging out with him for the first time is as good a place to start as any because

it's weird and it gives you a great idea of John's life and why the work he does is valuable. So let me say, I knew who John was before I met

him. I'd been told about him by my friends Dana and Greg Newkirk, who were on against everyone

with Connor B. 46, as you might remember, talking about haunted objects. And I was heading in 2018 to the Paranormal Conference,

Paracan, and So St. Marie, Michigan. So I knew John was going to be there, and Greg and Dana

were there as well. They introduced me to him, although I think we had talked on Twitter before.

And right away, we went to the bar and we talked.

Now, just for some context, Paraclym, it was really fun,

but it was filled with people who were talking about the paranormal

as if it were just an ornament to life.

So, in other words, there were a lot of people who are like,

well, we go on these ghost adventures and we bust down the door and we get those ghosts and we

kick them out of the house because screw you ghosts, like how dare you mess with these

happy Christian households or maybe it was just people who were viewing ghosts and monsters and cryptids and all that kind of stuff

as just kind of like accoutrements of the lives that they already lived. I mean, you would think
