This is your AEW dynamite review for February 5th, 2020 from Huntsville, Alabama, the Von Braun

Center. I haven't heard the Von Braun Center mentioned since the W.C.W.

Pretty sure W.C.W. ran a whole bunch of events there back in the day.

But before we get into all the A.W. stuff, I would be remiss if I did not mention this.

This is a historic day on the wrestling calendar.

I don't know how many of you are aware of this, but it was on this date 32 years ago. You don't feel old, you're

going to feel old now. 32 years ago today on February 5th, 1988 that WWE aired its first live

main event special on NBC which featured the end of Hulk Hogan's first four-year reign as

WWE champion. Looking to beat Andre the Giant for the second time.

It did not happen.

He lost to the Giant.

He blamed his defeat on the crooked Hebner twin.

How much money for the plastic surgery!

They were identical. Mean Gene, he cried like a bitch on live TV.

The evil Hebner twin angle, I maintain, is still one of the greatest wrestling angles of all time.

It was nearly pitch perfect.

That whole period there, 88-89, that in the mega-powers angle, which supposedly was the brainchild, at

least in part, of Elizabeth. Just awesome, awesome storylines.

But the story here is, you know, Dave Hebner wanted to get his brother Earl a job in the

W. W.F.

Earl had been working for Jim Crockett promotions.

Vince McMahon had no idea that Dave Hebner even had an identical twin brother to begin with.
