defending the women's tag team titles. They were defending the women's tag team

titles against Natalia and Shana Basler. The two of them at a Monday

night raw after feeling disrespected threw down their tag team titles backstage and they left.

They walked out.

That was almost two years ago.

It's hard to believe that it's been almost a full two years since we have seen

this woman on weekly television, but that's how long it's been. That's two years too long.

And a few months ago, rumor... That's two years too long.

And a few months ago, rumors started to bubble up that Mercedes, was she going to go to WWE? Is she going to go to Aew? Of course she had left. She went to Japan, she reinvented herself. She

had to come up with a new name, she had to come up with a new gimmick, she trademarked a whole bunch

of things. Monet and money money and the CEO all these different terms right?

She was going to create her own path, carve her own path independent of W. W. W.

And then she got her.

Right in the middle of this run that she was going to go on in Japan and the

independence scene, she was fighting for the New Japan Strong Women's Championship that she

would have won, and she got hurt.

Broke her ankle and had to miss a very long time as a result. But then we saw her at Wembley Stadium. There she was in the

crowd and they even acknowledged her on camera multiple times in fact during that show

and it looked like okay maybe she's going to land in AEW.
