Solomonster reviews AEW Dynamite for September 28th coming off last week's Grand Slam show. Chris Jericho and Bandido tore it up in the main event and, in all honesty, without the Jericho stuff, this show would have been worse off. Juice Robinson made his AEW debut against Jon Moxley, while Saraya spoke for the first time and did not impress. If she intends to be the "revolution" for this AEW women's division, it's going to take a lot more than the kind of thing we saw on this show.

Dynamite tonight was in Philadelphia, and I can honestly say that if Chris Jericho was not on the show tonight

0:07.3

this would have been a very

0:09.5

mid-show. I know Jericho's a very polarizing figure these days. Some people absolutely hate seeing

0:16.6

him. Some people still love him. Jericho has won me over with some of his more recent performance

0:22.2

since he's had some really good matches. I'm digging the Ring of Honor story they're doing with him,

0:27.2

and the main event tonight was Chris Jericho defending the Ring of Honor World Championship that

0:32.2

he won last week on Grand Slam defending it tonight against former Ring of Honor World Champion

0:38.0

Bandito who was making his very first appearance in AEW tonight. They at least had a video package

0:44.8

all even though it was maybe all of 30 seconds. Trying to explain who Bandito was to the people

0:50.3

who don't know. And if you take that main event out of this show, I don't like this show nearly as

0:56.7

much. So we had Jericho in the opening segment. We had Jericho in the closing segment, and I would

1:02.3

say that Jericho saved the show for me. It was not a terrible show. It was very much a middle of the

1:07.7

road show, but that main event elevated it for me. I thought that was an excellent main event

1:14.3

with Jericho and Bandito going almost 20 minutes. The fans were into it. And as much for Bandito

1:20.7

as anything that Jericho did, Bandito won that crowd over in Philadelphia tonight. They were

1:26.0

into this guy. And of course in the end, he fell short. He is not. In fact, the Ring of Honor World

1:32.3

Champion, we had Juice Robinson making an appearance on the show tonight as well. His AEW debut going

1:38.3

one-on-one with the new World Champion, John Moxley. And what they build is a world title eliminator

1:44.1

match. And again, they did point out the history between the two of them. And the fact that

1:48.9

Robinson is one of the very few people who can say that he has two wins over John Moxley. John

1:54.1

Moxley does not lose very much in AEW. He lost the CM Punk. He can't really point out too many other

2:01.4

times that John Moxley ate a loss this year. So at least they took the time to explain that.
