Summary

Solomonster reviews AEW Dynamite for May 4th from Baltimore, the home base of Ring of Honor, which didn't seem to matter to the live crowd during the main event between Deonna Purrazzo and Mercedes Martinez to crown an Undisputed ROH Women's champion. We also finally had the bracket revealed for the men's Owen Hart Cup tournament, which includes a first round match between Jeff Hardy and Darby Allin. Let's hope Jeff looks better in that match than he did against Bobby Fish on this show. Review for AEW Dynamite May 4th, 2022. We had tonight in the made event the undisputed

0:14.5

Ring of Honor women's champion to be crowned Yana Parazo making her first appearance in

0:19.7

an AEW ring and it's the made event. Even though the people in the building didn't really

0:25.3

seem to care, people in Baltimore, that's Ring of Honor's home based, didn't really

0:30.6

care about that made event in the idea of Yana Parazo one-on-one with Mercedes Martinez,

0:35.3

you know, I cannot remember. I'm trying to think in terms of recent Dynamite main events

0:42.8

over the last few months and maybe longer than that, I can't remember a Dynamite main

0:47.3

event that had that little heat in the building where people just did not care about the match,

0:54.0

which is too bad because I thought both ladies were tired and I think that without having

0:59.3

to rush through, you know, the nine minutes they had left before they were going off the

1:02.8

air, you know, maybe they could have had a better match than what we saw tonight. They

1:08.5

did the best they could, but there was no heat for the made event. I also think part

1:13.2

of it is just the fact that you have an audience here that they're trying to condition them

1:20.9

about Ring of Honor, about the championships, about why it's important. To me, this audience

1:26.8

is way more excited and going to be way more excited when we get to Chicago for the forbidden

1:31.8

door in June than they are for anything going on right now involving Ring of Honor. There

1:37.9

is still going to be a learning curve for AW fans who weren't following Ring of Honor

1:42.2

very closely, didn't really care about Ring of Honor. There is a certain excitement that

1:47.3

you see certain excitement that you see when the new Japan stuff is brought up for the

1:53.9

forbidden door and you see it online, but even on some of the AW shows, it's not there

1:58.8

for Ring of Honor, at least not yet, maybe in time it will be, but today Tony Khan officially
