This is your AEW Dynamite review for Wednesday April 21st, 2021. I am the Salomonster. Thank you for choosing me for your AEW coverage tonight.

I thought this was a damn good show tonight. The main event I thought delivered. That was the match I was looking forward to the most.

TNT Championship main event Darby Allen and Jungle Boy. They went toe to toe in the main event with TV time remaining.

I was thinking maybe they would go for a time limit draw. Protect both guys. You don't beat one or the other. You could save this match maybe for later on down the road.

But they gave us a clean finish. They gave us a Darby Allen win, which was not unexpected. It kind of came out of nowhere. It was a little sudden the way he did it.

But I thought that they had a damn good match and really up and down the card. That was really the story I felt of the show tonight.

A lot of really good wrestling up and down the card. Me from the moment they started with Hangman page and Ricky Starks, Christian Cage and Will Hobbs.

The women's title match, which we're going to get into, which I thought was the best match of Thai Conti's career by far.

And one of the best matches that Hikaru Shita has had in her entire run in AEW.

And then all the way up until the main event, they moved some story lines ahead. The key also is we have the blood and guts match coming up in a couple of weeks on May 5th on Dynamite.

We had dueling promos tonight from the pinnacle in the inner circle. The pinnacle easily won that battle tonight. That was all MJF.

We will get into all of that. And what I thought was a very, very good show. Interestingly, I was very curious to see how many if any mentions they would have on the show tonight of the impact rebellion paper view coming up this weekend.

Or Kenny Omega is defending the AEW World Championship against Rich Swan winner take all the AEW title is potentially in jeopardy of being taken by the impact world champion.

You would think that that would get some play on the final Dynamite before rebellion on Sunday.

Well, not really the case. We had a couple of brief mentions, but really if you watch the show tonight, you would never know you would never know the AEW World Championship is potentially in jeopardy of being taken by the champion of another organization, which I think tells you all you need to know about the outcome of that main event coming up on Sunday.

I already gave you guys my prediction for what I think is going to happen on episode 700 on Sunday. We'll talk about rebellion, the main event a little bit later on.

I don't know how many of you picked up on this. It is something I noticed here during the early part of the show tonight, the first mention of the blood and guts match coming up on May 5th.

I think it was Tony Shavani maybe who made mention of the fact they they called the blood and guts match.

A episode of Dynamite a one match show. I think that was the exact phrasing the one match event.

Now that could be taken one of two ways it could be taken as that's the feature match on that show the only match that matters or it may just be a one match show.

I find that hard to believe they're going to take the one match and stretch it out over two hours.

And it was never really followed up on for the rest of the show. I don't know if I'm the only one who thought that that was a little weird.
