Tony Khan, put the online hype machine into overdrive after tweeting out on Friday night.

After rampage went off the air, he said a top wrestler will walk through the forbidden door this Wednesday and will debut in AEW.

This is what he said, I'm just reading from the tweet that he posted on Friday night.

The forbidden door can be open for anyone from any wrestling promotion in the world.

He said whether or not it's a company that AEW is on good terms with, they're also welcome to slam the door in the face of their prior company.

And boy, you know, that could cover a lot of ground when you think of all the people who have not had the best of luck working in WWE and probably have a lot to get off their chest.

So he got a lot of people talking with these tweets. Who could it be? A lot of non-compete clauses are expiring here first week in February. My God, the possibilities are endless. Who could it be? So naturally, everybody online, everybody on social media started talking about it and started speculating.

I said on the podcast this weekend that this felt like it was a reaction to the rating last week being down for the big CM punk MJF made event on dynamite because the number was down last week, all of a sudden Tony Khan is promising these huge surprises.

And then he goes on busted open radio this morning. Just put a little bow on everything, get people even more excited.

He goes on busted open radio this morning to say that he was trying to satisfy a lot of different fans on the show tonight with what he had planned.

You're never going to be able to please everybody all the time. It's impossible, especially wrestling fans, right? You can't please everybody all the time.

We found that out almost a year ago. Remember Christian, Christian cage when he debuted at Revolution, remember that wasn't Christians fault, but the height machine got out of control.

When he showed up, it didn't go over too well.

And so coming into tonight's show, I was thinking it's very important not to over hype and under deliver. That's the one thing Tony Khan had to be very careful not to do.

And before I even tell you what I thought of the show tonight, I will tell you and I'm sure it's already going on on social media.

You're going to get a lot of divided opinion about this show. You're going to have people who say that it was very disappointing.

It was very lackluster, the big surprises. You're going to have a lot of people who are very, very excited for what the future holds in AEW.

I think that there is the potential for at least one of these new signings to make a major impact in this company, because I think it's somebody who has a lot to prove.

But we did in fact have someone walk through the forbidden door tonight. We hear that term get thrown around so much these days. Tony Khan has said, I am the forbidden door to the point where I'm kind of sick and tired of hearing about it.
