| 0:00.0 | Welcome, everyone to the RPCS podcast, and Nick Shaw joined by Dr. Mike Isratel. |
| 0:11.8 | Ominous. |
| 0:12.7 | Nick, hello, how are you? |
| 0:13.9 | How are you? |
| 0:15.2 | Can you do this whole episode as Arnold? |
| 0:18.0 | No, why would they do that? |
| 0:20.3 | Yeah, it's bullshit. You're exploiting me. Whether Donald do this, do that. They didn't know age reversal, genetic engineering. It sounds like one of my plot for one of my movies, the sixth day. Have you seen that one, Nick Schar? It was 1990. I think it came out. Yeah. I haven't, but I was going to make a Terminator joke because aesthetic revolution is moving that way, man, the AI. Like, we're all just going to be robots. I love it. Look at how metallic you look, yeah. All right. We've been on a kick. We've been on a journey here through the aesthetic revolution. We've done four episodes now. We're on number five. I felt like when we were talking about some of the cosmetic stuff last time, all I kept thinking about was all like the age reversal stuff. Yeah. Doesn't it kind of blend, you? It does. And I remember reading some of these books. I went on a kick where I probably read like 10 different books on longevity. This was like in 21, 22. Most of this stuff didn't really exist then. But like just reading about it, I was like, wow, so fascinating. The first one I read was, actually it was just the future is faster than you think. |
| 1:28.2 | It was a few years old. |
| 1:29.4 | That was a Peter Diamandis. The future is a excellent book. Yeah. It now looks prescient. At the time that it was written, it looked like a fantastic hope to nowhere. Oh, dude. That's what I'm saying. Now it's like a how to guide to figure out what's going on. Yeah, all these books, I was like, wow, like, this seems cool, but. |
| 1:45.3 | So I guess, like, a lot of these guys were just sort of on the cutting edge. Like, they kind of knew what was going on behind the scenes. It wasn't public yet. Yes. And also these are, like, DeMondis is a futurist. He thinks about what happens next, what happens after that, and what do the trends predict? And they think of another thing that's really helpful, intersecting trends. So like if you have someone who makes metal frames really well, you don't get a bicycle. If you have someone who makes wheels really well, you don't get a bicycle. If you have someone who makes sockets, metal frames and wheels really well, all three people |
| 2:17.5 | when they live in the same town, you connect them, you can probably predict that they're going to make a bicycle pretty fucking soon. So a lot of the stuff, it's like, well, look at age reversal, you know, like research right now in 2020. Well, it's, you know, it's puttering along. I got some mouse, some rat stuff. Look at it post AI empowerment. Like, oh shit, we can just have all this stuff in like five years. |
| 2:36.9 | That's nuts. |
| 2:37.9 | Like the intersection of AI plus a bunch of stuff is a big, big deal. |
| 2:41.7 | And that's one of the kind of central premises of the aesthetic revolution is that, look, |
| 2:46.3 | like it is really a revolution and it is about to get crazy. |
| 2:50.1 | And so today we actually talk about, what have we covered so far, Nick? |
| 2:54.6 | Let's go through that really quick, just a quick brush up guide. |
| 2:58.0 | Kind of the original like introduction to all this. |
| 3:01.8 | And then what was sort of current, right, with modern GLP ones, we talked a little bit about, I think, regeneron, |
| 3:07.6 | although they just came out with a phase two trial since we recorded, right? |
| 3:11.2 | Successful. |
| 3:12.5 | Yeah, that's interesting. |
