Steve Gerard, a U.S. Army veteran and veteran battlefield guide. Steve has studied the American

Expeditionary Force for several decades. He's been the unit historian for U.S. Army 2nd and 4th

Infantry Divisions, the 10th Mountain

Division, the 101st Airborne Division, the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, and the 5th and 6th Marine

Regiments. Steve also served as a special historical consultant, World War I, to the

History Division, Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.

He's worked as a historian and researcher for World War I Fourth Brigade, the Marine Brigade,

Second Division, for various military historians and authors like Mr. George B. Clark, Mr. Kevin

Selden, Mr. James Gregory, Lieutenant Colonel Pete Owen, United States Marine Corps, retired.

Lieutenant Colonel John Swift, United States Corps,

excuse me, United States Marine Corps retired.

And Lieutenant Colonel Walt Ford also, the United States Marine Corps retired.

And Mr. Mike Miller.

Steve joins us today to talk about the history of the AEF Tank Corps.

And I couldn't leave this out, and it's a point of contention with Steve.

So you might remember that in the past that Steve was actually an infantryman, although he wasn't mechanized one.

So what is a leg doing talking about tankers?

Well, Steve knows what he's talking about, so he can come on and he can talk about it.
