Globally, the total confirmed case count is at 1.38 million,

set to surpass 1.5 million over the next two days.

The global number of deaths stands at 79,000,

with GMI forecasting this count to get up to 100,000 deaths by Friday,

However, it's not all bad news, that death rate does appear to be slowing, as is the growth of daily active cases.

And in a press briefing this morning, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo offered some

And right now we're projecting that we are reaching a plateau in the total number of

hospitalizations and you can see the growth and you see it's starting to

flatten. This is good news for New York, but the state's number of active cases remains well above the GMI forecast.

In Europe, the active number of cases is beginning to plateau.

But with Spain, Germany, and France well behind Italy, we likely haven't seen a true peak yet.
