Cheers. As the price of Bitcoin gathered momentum in 2017, a whole new demographic was attracted to the emerging cryptocurrency space.

They were, for the most part, young.

They were smart, computer literate, and in many cases, evangelical about the changes that blockchain technology

would bring to all of our everyday lives. At the same time another demographic

found themselves in Bitcoin's tractor beam, those who saw instant guaranteed profits in an

asset whose price only went one way up. Many of these people had no experience of

buying and selling shares, many of them had no real understanding of the technology underpinning

cryptocurrencies or any great desire to learn.

They just wanted to get rich.
