Hi, and welcome to classical stuff you should know.

We are a podcast about classical education, the classical world, classic movies, well,

not really, classic books, classic food, all that good stuff.

We are three dudes who teach at a Christian classical school in Austin, Texas. My name is

Graham Donaldson, and I am not joined by A.J. Hanenberg and not joined by Thomas Magby. Where are they, you ask? Well, that's what I'm here to talk about.

It is the Advent season. Yesterday was the first Sunday of Advent and AJ, Thomas, and I were sitting

around talking about our hopes and dreams and thoughts about this Christmas season. And we realized that if we wanted to get all the episodes recorded for Christmas, we would have to,

well, as we talked, we realized we couldn't do it.

So we've batted around a couple of ideas.

We've decided that for this Christmas season, for Advent, and for the 12 days of Christmas, we are going to take a little hiatus.

I know, I know you've just pulled your car over on the side of the road to weep.

But this is something that we need.

This is something we want to spend this time with our friends and family.

As we looked at our schedules for the weekends, we realized that, you know, we were going to

have it to miss Christmas

parties or these sorts of things. So we're taking a little bit of a break from our job, from our

work, from bringing you wonderful classical tidbits, and we will be coming back in January.

But just in case you were a little bit starved for some classical education. I'm going to do a classical

stuff if we got wrong because boy did we get emails. Turns out that in the, was it the third

crusade when we were talking about this in the Templar podcast, that turns out that the great schism had happened like 200 years before
