This is Holy Family School of Faith.

So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I am blessed today to have driven through a snowstorm

to Achison, Kansas where I'm here with a bunch of hardy people who came

out to join the mother of God in overcoming Satan and saving souls through the most powerful

weapon, the Rosary. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's offer this rosary for the thousands of names that have been submitted

and for our own personal prayer intentions.

John the Baptist has a particular role in leading us through this advent to receive Jesus at Christmas.

Matthew chapter 3, John the Baptist appeared.

He preached in the wilderness, and this was his message.

Repent for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.

Then Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole Jordan district made their

way to him and as they were baptized by him in the River Jordan they confessed their sins.

But when he saw a number of Pharisees and Sages

coming for baptism, he said to them,

Bruda Vipers, who warned you to flee from the retribution that is coming?

But if you are repentant, produce the appropriate fruit, even now the axe is laid to the root the fruit will be cut down and thrown on the fire.

I baptize you in water for repentance, but the one who follows me is more powerful than

I. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His

winnowing fan is in his hand. He will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn,

but the chaff he will burn in a fire that will never go out.
