Hello, everyone, and welcome to the final episode of my special series on Advent on Speaking

with Joy. Today, I have the great pleasure of podcasting with my mama and someone who you all

might listen to on another podcast, At Home with Sally. Welcome on the show, Mama. Oh, it's such a

privilege to be here and to have you sitting in my home with me being friends.

Yes, I'm back in Colorado for Christmas, and we have been kind of luxuriating in Christmas time

while also having lots of work and things to do, making lots of Christmas cookies, and sitting in front of our excessively shiny tree.

It is. It's got more lights on it, I think, than any tree we've ever had before.

It really does. I've, of course, been suffering slightly from jet lag since being back.

And when I woke up the first morning at 4, I thought, oh, I'm going to go down and light the Christmas tree,

but it was so bright that I thought it would wake up everyone in the whole house.

No, it's lovely.

It's so much fun.

And, of course, you and I both remember, I remember when I was a kid, and you remember

when you were a kid, when you were a child, I should say, sitting under the sparkly tree,

and there's just something beautiful about it.

And now Sarah is sending this pictures of Lillian.

Yes.

Dancing with pine cone wands around the Christmas tree. So we are all relishing in a childlike

delight and wonder at Christmas. And so for this, this final Advent episode, we've gone through

the light, what was it? What did I do? You don't know what it did. I did

the coming, the mother, and the good shepherd. And this week, I'm going to close off the Advent series
