Hello and welcome back to the Truth Seekers podcast.

Today is the last day of Advent and the last episode in our Advent series.

I want to thank you for joining me as we have prepared our hearts together for this Christmas Day and reflected on Jesus and His coming.

Since Advent means coming, I want to take this last day of Advent to prepare our hearts as we look forward to Jesus' second coming.

We are living in the in-between time, the time between Jesus' first coming and the time between His second coming. We are living in the in-between time, the time between Jesus' first coming, and the

time between His second coming. Those who waited for Jesus to come the first time waited

a long time. So we too have been waiting a long time for Jesus to return. But we can rest assured that since he came the first time, he will return for us, as he

said.

We are waiting for the glorious day when Jesus will appear, and we will see him face to

face.

We are waiting for the fulfillment of our salvation.

Right now we have hope that Jesus has saved us, but we still

see the effects of sin in our world when we look around us. We still see hurting and sorrow

and pain. When Jesus returns, all will be set right, all will be made new. John was a disciple

of Jesus and he had a vision of what it will be like when Jesus

returns. He said, Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first

earth had passed away, and there was no longer any seed. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem,

coming down out of heaven from God, prepared

as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne

saying, Look, God's dwelling place is now among the people and He will dwell with them.

They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God.
