Dan and Becky discuss the kind of playful, unexpected, profound acts of welcoming that

the coming of Christ invites us into.

Well, I've had the privilege being able to introduce Advent in my conversation with

Angela and Chalee. And it is my honor and delight to be with my

most favorite of partners to interview and to interact. And that's my wife, Becky. So Becky,

thank you for joining our conversation on Advent, particularly on the concept of what it means

to welcome, to have a heart to welcome and receive the coming of Jesus.

So your thoughts, my love, on what it means to welcome.

Let me just also add that I'm not sure I've ever known any human

being who is better at welcoming. I know that from virtually every day that you're up and how

you welcome me into the day and certainly how you have received our family and friends welcoming

them into the good world that you have

created.

So welcoming is something that I think of as one of your unique gifts.

How would you talk about welcoming?

Thank you, honey.

I think I'm good at welcoming. I think a lot of that comes from the modeling I had

from parents who love to entertain, who love to invite friends over and who love to just gather
