Hello again and welcome back to Kids Bible Stories. Today is Day 6 in our

Advent series. Today's story is called Decorating for Christmas and this

comes from Psalm chapter 96 verse 9. I would like to see a train six. I want stars and

nails. What about a big beautiful tree? Those things would be beautiful to see but

I was just thinking about something else. Something more beautiful than all the

Christmas decorations in the whole world. Hey listeners, today's Advent

reading is Psalm chapter 96 verse 6. It says,

A worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Now everyone has different

holiday traditions. Here in the US we like to try and decorate where we live.

Some people put at paper snowflakes or maybe a wreath. Oh hey, how about a big

beautiful green tree covered in tinsel and ornaments and lights? Oh wouldn't

that be nice? Yes, that would be nice, Josh. But as beautiful as some

decorations are, we need to remember that the most beautiful thing we could

possibly see this season is the holiness of Jesus. So if you have that green

Christmas tree, soft knitted stockings, or bright star paper lanterns, whatever

your tradition of decorating is, know that the most beautiful thing in your home

is the loving presence of our Lord Jesus. Well, that's it for our story today.
