We have our analytics expert, Sam Finkel, joining us.

And as we promised here in part two of a podcast series, we're going to talk about the bargain shopping.

The Eagles have done a bargain shopping spree, as I like to call it.

A cynical person might say the Eagles have been shopping at Walmart while like the Patriots and Cardinals were, you know, Neiman Marcus.

But hey, this is what the Eagles are doing.

There's a reason behind it.

We've talked about this on Inside the Birds podcast, and you do have to give Howie credit.

There have been some misses on the one-year deals in the past, but there have also been some really big hits on the one-year deals.

If anything, Sam, most of these guys are being signed to compete for a spot on the team, to be depth.

If you get a starter out of it, you're really happy.

But it leaves the Eagles in a position where they don't have to reach for a position in the draft.

And as Howie always likes to say, and I totally agree with it, free agency doesn't stop just because you and I are doing this podcast.
