Hello.

Two things should be instantly apparent. The first one should be that this isn't a real

episode. Look at the duration of this. This isn't within the parameters of what constitutes a genuine

episode of this podcast. And then the second thing is that if you really, really pay attention, you'll hear that it's just me and not Annabel.

Now, you might be thinking Annabelle can sometimes have a mouse-like quality to her.

She can be very quiet at times in certain sections of the podcast.

Sometimes you might suspect that she's glazed over or perhaps even nodded off,

but that's not what is going on.

She is neither in the same room as me, nor on the end of some kind of video call recording her end.

So let me explain. First things first,

she was here last night and there was an issue with the recording. Now, I think it's really important not to point fingers in this type of situation.

I don't want to live in a blame culture where somebody is singled out because when the other

person travelled all the way to their temporary accommodation in order to record a podcast.

The first person didn't correctly plug in the equipment and make the checks that even an amateur

should make.

Even if hypothetically those things happened, I'm really... an amateur should make.

Even if hypothetically those things happened,

I really believe that that should be a teachable moment for that person.

They should reflect on what went wrong. But let's not indulge in a culture of humiliation that's just let's just let's just let

go just for a minute okay so so so so here's what happened um when i came to listen back to

the recording this morning in order to send it down the pipe to you.
