If I had an audience with the king, the first thing I should do is express my humility before the king and give him the honor that he deserves.

And so when I enter into a conversation with the Lord, I begin the conversation with worship.

I begin by expressing from the depths of my soul how I feel about his greatness,

his majesty, his excellence. What does your prayer list look like? Do you have one? If you consider all the areas in your life

and the needs of your family and friends, that list can quickly grow. But interestingly,

even though our prayer lists are often filled with needs, when Jesus instructed the disciples

how to pray, he didn't teach them to start with their needs.
