I am Stephanie Ruhl and check your calendar because we are now 333 days away from the midterms.

And tonight lawmakers are speaking out after getting new details on the second strike on a boat in the Caribbean that

killed two people who survived the initial attack. Admiral Frank Bradley briefed members of Congress

earlier today and reportedly said that the defense secretary Pete Hegseth did not, did not,

give an order to kill everyone on the boat. His briefings today included video of the

second strike. And as you can imagine, it is 2025. Democrats and Republicans saw a very different

video and had very different reactions. Watch this. Admiral Bradley has a storied career and he has

my respect and he should have the respect of all of us.

But what I saw in that room was one of the most troubling things I've seen in my time in public

service. You have two individuals in clear distress without any means of locomotion with a

destroyed vessel who are killed by the United States.

No, I didn't see anything disturbing about it. The first strike, the second strike,

and the third and the fourth strike on September 2nd were entirely lawful and needful,

and they were exactly what we'd expect our military commanders

to do. It's my expectation and my deep hope that these strikes will continue.
