As always, Cody Wersham, joined by Jacob Hester here at Cards and Culture on a Wednesday. Normally we do this on a Tuesday. Today we came in on a Wednesday, which is kind of cool because the store is open and there's people going to be coming in and out, checking out the great merch and all the cool stuff over here. Jacob Hester is sporting the Braves jacket in honor of the World Series Championship last night. How are you feeling? I know this was this was big for you. Yeah, feeling good. If you've ever heard me like speak in front of any microphone, I've probably told you about the braids one time or another been a fan since 91 one of my first if not the first sports

memory that I truly have is the twins braids in that world series didn't go the brays way but since

then I've been hooked tbS obviously is the reason why a lot of us in louisiana are brays fans and

we were talking about before we hit record with Anthony Renato here,

it's like Cubs or Braves back in the day. I was a Cubs guy. WGN, TBS. Like you had to choose, right? Yeah, my brother was a Braves guy, and I was like, well, I can't pick the team that my brother likes, which is sort of how I became a Duke fan growing up as my brother like North Carolina.

I can't do this by myself. But I will say this World Series was fun because it was like Louisiana World Series because obviously now with the way you can watch every team, Houston being only a couple

hours away from a lot of places

in South Louisiana. It was Astros, Braves, and it really felt like you chose one of the other in Louisiana, so it was a lot of fun. I bet the ratings here in Baton Rouge were in Louisiana as a whole, we're good because that was the other team. Now, the Astros were harder to watch growing up because the cable nuances. WGN was on every household. TBS was on every household and so Cubs and Braves were very available. But Houston was the proximity team. And so there's, I'm sure some fans that are sad about that today. And of course, we love Alex Bregman and want to see him succeed. So bittersweet for some of us. But I'm happy for you. Thank you. And I'm happy to be back here at Cards and Culture.
