The singer Adele was cast away by Lauren Laverne in 2022.
In 2008, she released her debut album, 19, and the following year she won the first of many Grammys. Her next three albums, 21, 25 and 30, consolidated her superstar status.
She told Lauren about the day she signed her first record deal.

So you can imagine I weren't that impressed. I was like this. I was like, what is this? I was like, it's like, oh, anyway, and then I got inside in the water. Oh, it's magical that place. I haven't been there for years. Prodigy, like, MIA, Dizzy Rascal, white stripes. I was like, oh, hang on a minute. And I met Nick. And he was all, all right, mate. And we got on, he was like, who's your manager? And I was like, oh, Pat, at the gap. So I was working at the gap on High Street, Ken at the time. And he was like, oh, I don't know. |
