Welcome. Welcome to Middays. I'm Susie Larson. So honored to get to spend this time with you. In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk, the deep in your understanding of God's word, and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. We have got an important conversation.

I've been praying my heart out around this conversation. It's a hot button issue, for sure,

and we're coming my guests and I with humility and with just expectancy that the Lord himself will lead us. Well, my guest today writes this. She says, privilege, the word alone can make us flinch. The notion that for no good reason, some might have it better than others, offends our sensibilities. Yet until we talk about privilege, we'll never fully understand it or find our way forward. Amy Julia Becker joins me today to talk about her book, White Picket Fences,

Turning Toward Love in a World Divided by Privilege. She invites us to respond to privilege with

generosity, humility, and hope. We'll even address questions we've been maybe afraid to ask up to this

point, so we can walk further from fear and closer to love, as she says in all its fragile and
