0:37.7	life. Well, I'm thinking you probably have heard this verse before. Maybe you've recited it in your prayers as well.
0:43.3	God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. Maybe you've heard this
0:48.5	verse as well. There's no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. And here's one more.
0:55.6	The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So as you guessed, all three of these verses include the word fear,
1:00.8	but did you know that the word fear translates differently in each of these verses? For example,
1:05.6	God's not given us a spirit of fear. That translation is Delia is the word, and it means timidity, fearfulness, and cowardice. So
1:13.1	God has not given us the spirit of a coward. Think about that. Then the next one, there's no
1:17.4	fear in love. That translation is Phobos, where we get the word phobia. It means dread and
1:22.5	terror. Think about that. There's no dread and terror in the love of God. And the perfect love of God
1:28.5	casts out dread and terror. And the third one, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
1:33.6	It's Yara. And it means awesome, terrifying, majestic reverence. Now, terror and terrifying, they seem
1:40.5	closely linked, but a terrifying, majestic reverence is this unbelievable, unfathomable
1:46.3	awe that makes your knees buckle right underneath you.
1:49.4	So if you put these together, you could make a faith statement that sounds something like this.
1:54.3	God has not given us a spirit of a coward who shrivels in the face of battle.
1:58.0	He's given us a spirit of a dynamic, powerful, sacrificial, loving saint,
2:02.7	with mental and spiritual clarity. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he wants us to come
