Whenever the truth came out that what they were producing was addictive, whether it was junk food or cigarettes,

they would say, you chose to smoke, you chose to eat.

So you are responsible for any health consequences.

Same is happening with the tech industry already.

Game makers are saying the kids are choosing to play.

They or their parents are responsible.

They give us these tools so we think we are responsible.

We can choose how much time we want to spend online.

And so I think it's important to look at this because it also shows us the way out.

And if you see where this argument of self-responsibility breaks, it's with children.
