Hey, everybody. This is Inzenga, and you're listening to In Recovery.

This week's show is about technology, but I wanted to let you know that we taped it a few weeks ago before we were in the midst of this civil rights movement in response to George Floyd's killing.

So you won't hear any reference to that because it was taped before we started going through that.

That said, I couldn't miss the opportunity to talk about Juneteenth, which is coming up this week.

So, quick history lesson for those who might not know, June 19th is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in United States.

And the name of the holiday is Juneteenth.

So while we, you know, celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, which was 1776.

It was not until June 19th and 1865, so almost a full 100 years later, that slaves were freed.

Juneteenth has not been a national holiday.

But I think on the heels of the largest civil rights, anti-police brutality, anti-racism, movement in the history of the world, which we are in the middle of right now, I encourage all of you to celebrate Juneteenth.
