Why did you decide to become a millennial workplace expert? And what exactly does that job involve?

Yeah, it's a great question. I think in classic millennial form, I didn't actually intend on setting out to be a millennial workplace expert. I kind of fell into it. I had been writing a lot about my own quarter life crisis and being stuck in a job that really wasn't the right fit. I used to work in federal government in Washington, D.C., for the US Peace Corps, which is a tremendous

organization, but I was kind of in this role that didn't really suit me and didn't really know

where I fit in. And I was, you know, 28 at the time, which is old, but not really that old,

but like many millennials, I was kind of going through this period of freaking out and comparing

myself to my friends on Facebook and social media

and not sure what I was going to do with my life. And I started writing and blogging about it a lot

and ended up self-publishing and then publishing a book about my quarter-life crisis and this

kind of quest for meeting in the workplace and what I was looking for and documenting the stories of a lot of other

young people that were unhappy and kind of didn't know why.

And that actually turned into this work as a millennial workplace expert because I found

that there was actually a lot of interest and demand on the corporate side, on the company
