Today's guest is Congressman Adam Schiff, who's a Congressman for the District that I actually live in here in Los Angeles.

I love this book. The first part of it reads like a thriller. He starts off the book like inside the chamber as the insurrectionists are coming up the stairs and beating down the doors.

It's pretty amazing. It's a page turner.

And then it goes on, you know, just to be a very thoughtful memoir about his whole career, pretty inspiring to young people.

Thank you. It's my first. So it's very exciting for me.

Yeah. So the book, it reads like a thriller. So this is the first book you've ever written.

It is. It is. You know, I'm from LA and I'm a lawyer. So therefore, by definition, I've written a few screenplays. But this is my first book.

Okay. So for everybody listening, I don't want to give too much away, but I do want to hit on some points because I think a great accomplishment to write a book, especially given all the other things that you do, right?

Well, you're 50 other jobs. But you open the book inside the chamber during the insurrection.

I mean, it's a real page turner. And you do say that you were quite calm up until a certain point.
